Bismillah (I am A Moslem) - with translation

Bismillah (I am A Moslem)
by: Yusuf Islam

(Teacher): Now children, what we should say before we start some new jobs or begin eating or go on a journey? Can anyone tell me?
(Guru): Sekarang, anak-anak, apa yang harus kita ucapkan sebelum memulai bekerja atau mulai makan atau dalam perjalanan? Ada yang bisa memberi tahu?

(Children): Me, Teacher! Me,Teacher! Me!... Bismillah!
(Anak2): Saya, Bu! Saya, Bu! Saya.... Bismillah.

(Teacher): Very good, masya Allah. Well done. Now what does it mean, Bismillah?
(Guru): Bagus sekali, masya Allah. Kerja bagus. Sekarang apa artinya, Bismillah?

(Children): In the name of Allah-Bismillah!
(Anak2): Dengan menyebut nama Allah-Bismillah

I am a Moslem, the things I say
Aku seorang Muslim, yang aku ucapkan
In every thing I do everyday
di setiap hal yang kulakukan setiap hari
We are Moslem, the things we say
Kita orang Islam, yang kita ucapkan
In everything we do everyday
di setiap hal yang kita lakukan setiap hari
huuuu.. Bismillah. huuu.. Alhamdulillah (2x)

I am a Moslem and this I know
Aku seorang Muslim dan (hal) ini aku tahu
I need to eat so that I will grow
aku perlu makan agar aku bisa tumbuh
We are Moslem and this we know
Kita Muslim dan kita tahu
We need to eat so that we will grow
kita perlu makan agar kita bisa tumbuh
When we eat we say Bismillah
ketika kita makan kita ucapkan Bismillah
When we’re full we say Alhamdulillah
ketika kita kenyang, kita ucapkan Alhamdulillah
When we eat we say Bismillah
When we’re full we say Alhamdulillah

Water, juice, and milk these I think
Air putih, jus, dan susu yang aku pikirkan
are so delicious for me to drink
sangat nikmat untuk aku minum
Water, juice, and milk these we think
Air putih, jus, dan susu yang kita pikirkan
are so delicious for us to drink
sangat nikmat untuk kita minum
When we drink we say Bismillah
ketika kita minum, kita ucapkan Bismillah
when we’ve done we say Alhamdulillah
ketika selesai, kita ucapkan Alhamdulillah

Going out with my mum and dad
pergi keluar dengan mami dan papi
Coming home, oh what fun we had
sampai rumah, oh senangnya
Going out with our mum and dad
Coming home, oh what fun we had
Driving in the car, Bismillah
menyetir mobil, Bismillah
Coming safely home, Alhamdulillah
sampai di rumah dengan selamat, Alhamdulillah

I go to sleep saying Allah’s name
Aku tidur, menyebut nama Allah
And in the morning I do the same
dan di pagi hari aku melakukan hal yang sama
We go to sleep saying Allah’s name
And in the morning we do the same
When we sleep we say Bismillah
ketika kita tidur, kita ucapkan Bismillah
When we rise we say Alhamdulillah
ketika kita bangun, kita ucapkan Alhamdulillah
When we sleep we say Bismillah
When we rise we say Alhamdulillah

Spiders in Holy Qur'an

Spiders are small animal which can be found in any place. We can find them in house ceiling, the corner, or a warehouse.

There are many kinds of spiders, such as trapdoor, bolas, and many other. They are in various sizes. Generally, a spider has two segments of body (they are a cephalothorax—the fusion of head and thorax, and an abdomen) and eight feet. It does not have antennae. It also has no mouth and true jaws. But it has pedipalps to grind the prey.
Spiders are well-known with their web as their home. Spiders build their home using fiber from their abdomen. Spiders not only use their web as a home but also as a trap. The web traps any small creatures. Then, the spiders will eat the prey.

Allah SWT mentions spiders in Qur’an. There is a soorah which is named Al Ankabut (the Spiders). Al Ankabut is the 29th soorah in Qur’an. It consists of 69 verses. Al Ankabut tells a story of Prophet Luth and his clan, and other prophets.

Al Ankabut tells us to believe and to be piety to Allah SWT. We should not believe in others, except Allah. People who are take allies other than Allah are called musyrikin. They are like people who keep themselves in spiders’ net. Yet, spiders’ net cannot keep them from hot, rain wind or enemy. Spiders’ net itself can be easily broken by wind or rain. This is the parable of musyrikin who believe in others, not Allah. They submit their fate to something which cannot give any benefit at all. As Allah says in soorah Al Ankabut aayah 41:
"The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.”
